The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Adds ZR2 Model And Much More!

September 30th, 2021 by

Our most popular pickup truck is about to get even better.

Coming soon to Dieffenbach GM Superstore is the updated 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. There will be more that will meet the eye on this new version of this staple of our lineup.

First off, there will be a new flagship trim available – the long-awaited ZR2. This off-road ready Silverado 1500 went through validation in the Best in the Desert off-road racing series to show you that it can handle the rough trails across the Carolinas. The ZR2 is equipped with front and rear e-lockers and the Multimatic DSSV dampening system for a flexible and soft ride over rough terrain.

Plus, the Silverado 1500 ZR2 comes with a maximum payload of 1,440 pounds, along with a conventional trailer weight rating of 8,900 pounds – the best among off-road ready full-sized pickup trucks. These capabilities are available with the standard 6.2-liter V8 with 460 pound-feet of torque on the ZR2.

The ZR2 tops a lineup that was given a serious refresh inside and out. A new bold grille design matches each trim level giving the Silverado 1500 more personality as it gets down to business – or to do its daily deeds with your family.

The interior has been overhauled to include premium touches and advanced technology. Trim levels LT and above offer a standard 13.4-inch diagonal color touchscreen operating the Chevrolet Infotainment System. Some trims will also receive a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster that offer more customization in information and readouts for the driver.

As a compliment to the Chevrolet Infotainment System, higher trim levels will also enjoy Google built-in features that include access to Google Assistant, Google Maps and Google Play right on the infotainment screen. This new experience works with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capability and offers new levels of customization and flexibility for customers.

The advanced Super Cruise driver-assistance technology will make its first appearance in a Chevrolet vehicle on the Silverado 1500. Super Cruise will also be available to assist when your pickup truck is connected to a trailer, providing you confidence on long journeys and ease of operation.

The Silverado 1500 will also receive new standard Chevy Safety Assist features designed to keep your pickup truck protected from other motorists. This suite of six standard active safety features includes Forward Collision Alert, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Following Distance Indicator, and IntelliBeam auto high beams.

For 2022, the 2.7-liter turbocharged High-Output four-cylinder engine can now tow up to 9,500 pounds. The available 3.0-liter Duramax turbocharged diesel is now rated to tow up to 13,300 with a rear-wheel drive configuration. That is a 4,000-pound increase over maximum towing limits from the 2021 model year.

The updated and expanded 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is coming later this year to Dieffenbach GM Superstore. Contact us to order yours soon.
