Performance
The all-new GMC Acadia is powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that produces 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque while being paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. All models can be optioned with all-wheel drive. When choosing the Acadia AT4, buyers will get an exclusive off-road-capable Active Torque Control AWD system to complement the all-conditions and terrain usability of the AT4.
For 2024, the base Acadia Elevation front- and all-wheel drive models can tow up to 1,500 lbs when properly equipped, and AT4 and Denali models can tow up to 5,000 lbs when properly equipped. Thanks to the power and torque of the new turbocharged 2.5-liter, customers will welcome the advantages of the more powerful and torquier engine when towing.
Exterior
With its new larger and more prominent design, the GMC Acadia sports design elements that it shares with other GMC products, like the C-shaped headlights that also adorn the Sierra pickup truck.
The overall vehicle is now 10.6 inches longer and 3.2 inches taller than the 2023 model. It is further differentiated by the black trim bar between the taillights that says Acadia or Denali for those models, plus the four exhaust tips on all trims.
Interior
Thanks to the 2024 Acadia’s increased size, the interior benefits greatly from added storage space and overall versatility. There is now 80% more cargo space behind the third-row seats and an extra 36% more behind the second-row. Overall, max cargo space has increased nearly 24% compared to the 2023 model.
Behind the third row, customers will find 23 cu.ft. of cargo space. Folding those seats flat gives you 57.3 cu.ft behind the second row. With all seats folded, owners will have one of the largest interiors of mid-size three-row SUVs on sale with 97.5 cu.ft. of space.
Depending on the configuration, the Acadia can accommodate either 7 or 8 passengers. All trim levels can also be optioned with a panoramic sunroof.
Technology
The interior of the all-new Acadia is centered on a new, standard 15-inch portrait-oriented infotainment touchscreen display. The display allows for different customizable options and is Google built-in compatible with available apps and navigation.
The driver’s gauge cluster gets an upgrade with the new, standard digital 11-inch driver information center.
Additionally, the 15-inch display can also access nine different camera views, including: Rear Camera View, Front Camera View, Front Top Down, Rear Top Down, Rear Camera View mirror, Front Side View, HD Surround Vision, Hitch View, and Rear Side.
For the first time ever, the GMC Acadia will be available with Super Cruise, the industry-leading hands-free advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). With more than 750,000 miles of roads in the U.S. and Canada mapped out, the system includes trailering assist and lane-changing abilities. Super Cruise can be optioned on Elevation Premium, AT4, and Denali trim levels.
