The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray is an American performance legend and one of the most iconic and recognizable cars ever. After decades of speculation, Chevrolet upgraded the car to a mid-engine format in 2020, giving the eighth-generation Corvette staggering performance and balance.
The 2025 Corvette E-Ray is available in coupe and convertible body styles. The hybrid E-Ray also brings all-wheel drive to the Corvette lineup.
All models are on sale now, but some may have limited availability or extended production wait times.
The all-wheel-drive 2025 E-Ray has 655 horsepower from its 6.2-liter V8 and electric motor. It is complemented by an electric motor that channels an additional 160 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque through the front wheels via a 1.9 kWh battery pack located between the seats. The 2025 E-Ray can run the 0-60 MPH sprint in a scorching 2.5-second 0-60 mph time.
With the 2025 E-Ray, you get Stealth Mode. When selected at start-up, this enables all-electric driving for a period of time before the engine turns on for normal driving. It is designed for quietly exiting a neighborhood, with a maximum speed of 45 mph. The engine automatically engages if the vehicle’s speed exceeds the limit, the driver requests additional torque, or the E-Ray’s battery pack is depleted.
When leveraging the electrified propulsion system for enhanced track performance, the 2025 E-Ray’s eAWD control system applies torque to the front axle as needed. The Charge+ feature can be used to maximize battery state of charge for extended lapping. The custom-designed Performance Traction Management modes are optimized in concert with the eAWD propulsion system.
Of course, engine specs and acceleration are essential for any sports car, but the 2025 Corvette E-Ray’s performance goes beyond the engine. Chevrolet offers adaptive magnetic suspension upgrades for all models. The 2025 E-Ray can also run for short distances on electric only, thanks to its front-axle-mounted electric motor.
The move to a mid-engine layout for the Corvette brought new opportunities from a styling and design standpoint. Chevrolet morphed the Corvette’s long, sleek body into a new, equally impressive shape that features a low hood and muscular rear end to house the roaring V8 powertrains.
The E-Ray and ZR1 feature widebody designs with gaping air intakes and beefy rear fenders, while the Stingray’s shape is a bit friendlier. However, all models look and feel aggressive, even while sitting still, so don’t start thinking the Stingray is tame. Wheel sizes are staggered, with 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels standard. The Z06 and E-Ray get 20/21-inch wheels. Carbon-fiber wheels are a part of the ZR1’s performance package.
The 2025 Corvette E-Ray retained its iconic two-seat layout with the move to mid-engine, and its interior is easily one of the nicest in Chevrolet’s lineup. A unique flat top/bottom steering wheel highlights the tech-packed cabin, which offers two deep, heavily bolstered sport seats. Chevrolet offers a range of color options, and for the E-Ray, it has a unique blue interior theme. The large plank of buttons remains mounted between the driver and passenger, and all controls and buttons are canted toward the driver for a more focused experience.
The 2025 Corvette is equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen and a 12-inch digital gauge cluster as standard. The system brings wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM radio, HD radio, ten speakers, and more. Higher trims add navigation, wireless phone charging, and an upgraded 14-speaker stereo.
The infotainment touchscreen is a responsive unit with bright, crisp graphics. Snappy operation aside, Chevrolet’s infotainment software is intuitive and quick to use, making driving less distracting.
Neither the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) nor the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) have tested the 2025 Corvette E-Ray yet, either due to its newness on the market or because the costs associated with crashing sports cars are too great. It comes standard with a rear parking assistance system, and Chevrolet offers a range of advanced driver aids, including blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, a head-up display, forward collision warnings, automatic emergency braking, a surround-view camera system, and more.
