GMC Reveals the Redesigned 2025 Terrain
GMC has revealed the redesigned 2025 Terrain to the public. The model promises more space, technology, and safety features. The Dieffenbach GM Superstore offers everything currently known about the new Terrain compact crossover.
New Exterior
One look at the new Terrain shows that its design has been inspired by GMC’s famed truck line. The design continues to give the entire brand a cohesive, immediately identifiable appearance. Specifically, the grille is more rectangular, and the roofline features a stronger, body-color C-Pillar. The “kick up” of the beltline at and behind the rear door has a more flowing appearance. At the same time, a two-tone paint option is offered for the first time on the model, with a roof option in either black or gray.
“The 2025 GMC Terrain builds on GMC’s strengths and offers our latest premium technology and safety features, while bringing a fresh, bold design to our two-row SUV,” said Duncan Aldred, Global Vice President, Buick and GMC. “With the next-gen Terrain and updated 2025 Yukon both slated to launch later this year, the entire GMC SUV lineup will be refreshed by year-end, giving customers the latest design, the best technology, and the best driving experience we’ve ever offered in our SUVs.”
Terrain Tech
The tech upgrade is apparent the moment you step inside. Standard on all models is a 15-inch diagonal center infotainment screen and an 11-inch digital driver information display. The large display can show up to three applications simultaneously, so you can view your navigation map and see your current music selection, all with an additional application. Using the touchscreen or the standard Google Assistant voice system, drivers can reply to text messages, get directions through Google Maps, or control select vehicle functions. Drivers can also add apps like Spotify to listen to their music and favorite podcasts.
Available on the model line are up to eight different camera views, including a digital rearview option that can display the view behind the vehicle even when obstructed in the cabin by passengers or tall cargo. Additional available technologies include:
- 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capability
- Dual wireless phone chargers
- HD Surround Vision camera
- Rain-sensing wipers
- Heated wiper park
- AutoSense power liftgate, which automatically opens the liftgate in the presence of the key fob
All Terrains are powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-4, which produces 175 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque, paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Staggard Model Availability
The Elevation will be the first 2025 Terrain available, and it is expected to debut with standard AWD in late 2024. The AT4 and Denali will follow in early 2025 as 2026 models. Standard features on the AT4 include:

- Selectable AT4-exclusive Terrain Mode
- Lifted ride height
