Performance

All 2024 Equinox models come with a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine that produces 175 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque and is sent to wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. 

The Equinox is available in four different trim levels, and front-wheel drive is standard, but unlike some other crossovers, all-wheel drive is optional on all trim levels, from the base LS trim to the top-of-the-line Premier models. 

If you purchase a front-wheel drive Chevrolet Equinox, the EPA says you can achieve 26 mpg city and 31 mpg highway, and all-wheel drive models will get 24 city and 30 highway, respectively. 

Exterior

All models come standard with a 16-inch spare tire, and LS models have 17-inch aluminum wheels with all-season tires. While the LT model shares the same wheel size as the LS, it can be optioned with 18 or 19-inch wheels. RS models come standard with 19-inch wheels, and Premier trims are standard with 18-inch aluminum wheels, with 19s being optional. 

LED headlights are standard on all trim levels, with RS and Premier trims getting LED taillights. 

No matter whether you choose the LS, LT, RS, or Premier, all trim levels feature an acoustic laminated windshield to help keep unwanted noise outside the cabin. 

LS and LT models share a standard black grille with dual silver bars featuring the trademark Chevrolet bowtie in the center. RS models have an all-black grille and Chevy logo, while Premier models are all chrome. 

Interior

Inside the Chevrolet Equinox, customers will find a roomy and comfortable place to be, whether on long road trips or during morning and afternoon traffic. Drivers and passengers alike will enjoy the standard 6-speaker sound system and two standard USB charging ports for rear passengers. RS and Premier trim levels can be optioned with a 7-speaker Bose premium sound system. 

Customers will find 29.9 cu.ft. of cargo space behind the rear seats and a large 63.9 cu.ft. of space with the rear seats folded. 

Dual-zone climate control is standard on all but the base LS trim level. 

LT, RS, and Premier models have standard heated front seats and rear outboard seats available on Premier trim levels. A heated steering wheel is standard on Premier and available on Equinox LT and RS. 

Technology

Standard on LS, LT, and RS models is the Chevrolet information system that features a 7-inch multimedia touchscreen. An available 8-inch touchscreen can be had on LT and RS models and is standard on Premier trim. 

All models have wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus the capability to have a WiFi hotspot in the car for yourself and other passengers. A wireless charger is standard in Premier models. 

Safety

Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Following Distance Indicator, Forward Collision Alert, and IntelliBeam auto high beam control.
