Buick Is a Long-Time Supporter of College Athletes
What Does Buick Do to Support College Sports?
Buick engineers and designs really amazing vehicles. That is what the Buick brand is most known for, of course, but it isn’t the only thing that Buick does to get involved with people and communities across the country. In particular, Buick has been a long-time partner of the NCAA®.
Buick’s Inside the Huddle
Buick is a major supporter of women athletes, to be specific. Women make up 40% of athletes but still only receive 10% of the media coverage surrounding sports.
What does this have to do with Buick? Well, Buick is the auto brand with the largest percentage share of women buyers, so the folks over at Buick have taken it upon themselves to support equity in college athletics.
To help shine a light on women in sports, Buick has started Inside the Huddle. It’s a platform in collaboration with TOGETHXR, a company started by Alex Morgan, Chloe Kim. Simone Manuel and Sue Bird. Buick, along with TOGETHXR, works to share the inspiring stories of women in sports. These stories include interviews, question and answer sessions, and more. Within this collection of videos, viewers will be able to hear from people across the NCAA®, including both athletes and coaches.
Buick Support College Basketball
In the past, Buick has also been involved in the college basketball tournament in March. Last year, the all-new Buick Envision compact SUV. The model was the official SUV of the tournament. Buick even had an in-vehicle app for the tournament, displaying live scores from the key tournament games and other game coverage.
The Buick Envision, now in the 2023 model year, has a starting MSRP of $33,400. It offers wireless smartphone charging, AWD and heated seats.
As mentioned, Buick is more than just a car company, but if you do want to know more about the vehicles they make you can reach out to us here at Dieffenbach GM Superstore. We would be happy to get you behind the wheel or tell you more about them.
